1920:
Rosalind Franklin was born in London, England

1935:
A young Rosalind declares her desire to become a scientist

1941:
Received a B.A. from Cambridge University

1945:
Earned a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from Cambridge University

1947:
Began X-ray crystallography work at a Parisian laboratory

1951:
Returned to King's College to continue her research

1952:
Captured the "B" form of DNA with Photograph 51

1953-1958:
Rosalind worked as a Birkbeck research fellow

1958:
Published an article in Nature regarding the structure of DNA

1958:
Rosalind Franklin dies of ovarian cancer at age 37

1962:
Nobel Prize awarded to James Watson, Francis Crick and Maurice Wilkins for their DNA work
